Evening classes

Evening classes run in blocks of five weeks and are held at 14 Harrow Inn Close in Elgin on Monday evenings from 6-9pm.

 In your first class you will practice some basic techniques such as sawing, drilling and texturing on copper. You will also choose the piece you would like to make! The following week you will be given your precious materials and we will start your project. Throughout the eight weeks you will see demonstrations of the techniques we use in the class and try them for yourself while creating your piece.   

The class costs £135 plus materials. Additional bundles of saw blades cost £3.50

 

         Techniques you can learn include:

  • Sawing

  • Texturing

  • Roller printing

  • Doming

  • Annealing

  • Soldering

  • Etching

  • Delft clay casting

  • Drilling

  • Wax carving

  • Bezel stone setting (round or oval stones only, 3mm minimum)

Sterling silver, moonstone and sapphire ring. Handmade in Elgin.
